Nicholas Reinert is Vice President & General Manager of the South Magnolia Asset Team for EnerVest Operating, L.L.C.  Prior to his current position, Nicholas served EnerVest in many operational roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as as Reservoir Engineering Manager of the company’s South Texas assets. He worked in a similar capacity covering the Austin Chalk and Barnett Shale asset areas. Prior to joining EnerVest, Nicholas worked as an engineer for Devon Energy in Houston.

Nicholas attended Texas A&M University in College Station where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. He has since gained experience in each of the following areas of the industry: completions, production, and reservoir engineering. 


 Kevin Miller VP & GM, Appalachia South

 Kevin is the Vice President & General Manager of EnerVest's Appalachia South assets. Prior to his current position, he served in a number of roles within multiple functional groups in the EnerVest Operating organization. Kevin has spent time serving in various capacities in the Geology, Land, and Operations groups. The roles he has filled include Appalachian Basin Geologist, Supervisor of Land & Geology for Appalachian North Assets, Manager of Operations for Appalachia North & Utica Assets, and Director of Geology for Appalachia & Utica Assets. Prior to his tenure at EnerVest, Kevin worked the Appalachian Basin assets as a Geologist for Columbia Natural Resources in Charleston, W.V. His career responsibilities have been associated with various basins and assets including the conventional plays of Appalachia, the Knox Unconformity, various W.V. Coalbed Methane plays, the Marcellus Shale, the Utica Shale, and the Bakken Shale.

Kevin is a graduate of Marshall University where he earned a B.S. degree in Geology. He is a former winner of the W.V. State Journal's Generation Next "Top 40 Under 40". He has also served for ten years as an officer for the local Marshall University Big Green Scholarship chapter.

Kevin Leonard - SVP & GM Austin Chalk

Leonard Kevin-Web-PhotoKevin serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Austin Chalk Asset team. Prior to being named to this position, he served as Senior Vice President of Special Projects/Engineering of EnerVest Operating, L.L.C. Kevin also held the title of Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Rockies Asset team where he was responsible for assets in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah. He has been with the Company since 2001.

He began his career in 1993 as an engineer with The Western Company of North America working in South Texas and North Louisiana.  In 1996 he joined Occidental Petroleum Corporation (“Oxy”), where he served as an operations and reservoir engineer working assets in Texas and the Gulf of Mexico.  After leaving Oxy in 1999, he went to work for Pressler Petroleum Consultants, Inc., providing consulting services to lending institutions, trusts, estates and small private oil and gas companies.

Kevin holds a petroleum engineering degree from Texas A&M University and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Independent Petroleum Association of America, Houston Producer’s Forum, and serves on the board of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association.

Levi Maurer VP & GM Barnett

 Levi is the Vice President and General Manager of the Barnett Shale Asset team where he is responsible for more than 1,400 wells and managing day-to-day operations. He previously held the role of Vice President and General Manager of the Rockies/Permian Asset Team which included properties in Utah, Colorado, northwest New Mexico, southeast New Mexico and west Texas. He joined EnerVest in 2004 and has had various engineering and production operations roles of increasing responsibility and has managed assets in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia.

 Levi graduated from Marietta College, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering. He is a member of various oil and gas associations, and has served on the Board of Directors for IOGA NY.


Jim McKinney EVP & COO

Jim serves as EVP and COO of EnerVest Operating, L.L.C. Prior to this role he was Senior Vice President & General Manager of EVOC's Appalachia South Asset Team. Before joining EnerVest, Jim worked as Vice President and Regional Manager for Penn Virginia Corporation and in many roles for Royal Dutch Shell. He has extensive experience in operations, marketing, midstream and finance in various geographic areas including the Appalachia, Gulf Coast, Arkoma, Granite Wash, Bakken Shale and Permian basins.

Jim currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Virginia Oil & Gas Association, as a member of the Board of Directors of TruPoint Bank, as a member of the Advisory Board for the West Virginia University Energy Land Management program, and as an Advisory Board member for the Virginia Tech University Virginia Center for Coal and Energy Research. McKinney served as a member of the Board of Directors and as President of the Independent Oil & Gas Association of West Virginia, as President of the Virginia Oil & Gas Association, and on the Board of Directors of Summit Leadership Foundation.

Jim earned his B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee and his M.B.A. from Houston Baptist University.
